I became a marriage celebrant after years of contemplation of what the experience would be like, to be a part of a couple's most intimate yet public demonstration of their love. The romanticism of marriage and the act of getting married is meaningful on so many different grounds - it is not only symbolic, or traditional but it can be the sincerest way of expressing one's emotional and deep connection with another human being. To be part of that moment and to be given the responsibility of facilitating a truly memorable and deeply significant moment in a person's life is what drew me to becoming a celebrant.
There is nothing more romantic than two people, coming together out of love and out of a compelling need to bind each other's chords together to be one. It is a meeting of families. It is a couple's most public love letter to one another. It is a declaration of solidarity and commitment, of unity. Marriage is a significant milestone for many people and to be part of that is truly special.
I have always loved bringing happiness to other people's lives and I did this first and foremost, through the performing arts. I have been blessed to have a diverse range of work experiences, which has enabled me to meet all sorts of people from all walks of life, as a professional photographer in media; actor and performer; and most recently on air and producing for radio.
As your celebrant I will ensure to make the preparations for your special day as friendly, relaxed and stress-free as possible.
